IRB Meetings and Deadlines
ONLY submissions that require Full Board review are required to meet a deadline in order to be added to the agenda for a specific committee meeting each month. Research that qualifies for Exempt or Expedited review have no deadline.
All paper submissions for IRB review must be delivered by mail or dropped off in person.** (see eProtocol information below)
Submissions can be dropped off each weekday, 8:30 am – Noon, and 1:00 pm - 4:30 pm.
The office is closed Noon – 1:00 pm for lunch, and on weekends.
- Veterans Administration (VA) Full Board Submission please use the current version of the Protocol Summary Form. VA submissions please refer to the Submission Instructions and Checklist on the Protocol Summary Form on the Form's page.
- Amendments and Conntinuations Submissions: Studies not previoulsy submitted using eProtocol please refer to the instructions provided on the amendment and continuation forms.

NOTE: The number of IRB's are being reduced from five to four committees.
The remaining boards are PH1, M1, MP2, & B3
CURRENTLY APPROVED MP4 STUDIES: All protocols currently assigned to the MP4 IRB will be re-assigned to either the M1 or the MP2 IRBs. The IRB Administration Office will inform Principal Investigators of their protocols new IRB assignment. IRB oversight of protocols will continue un-interrupted during the transition period.
New/Initial Full Board ONLY Submissions for all IRBs (PH1, M1, MP2, & B3) accepted via eProtocol (excluding VA).
March 28, 2019 was the final date in which INITIAL/NEW FULL BOARD paper submissions were accepted for MP2.
eProtocol Submissions must also follow the established IRB meeting deadlines schedule.
