Area of Interest
The focus of our studies is to define the role of dendritic cells in mucosal immune responses in order to develop novel, clinically relevant immunization strategies to protect mucosal compartments. We are exploring ways to encapsulate antigens (and other molecules involved in response enhancement) in nanoparticles to facilitate delivery to mucosal inductive sites in an animal model.
