Area of Interest
Single molecule microscopy, Fluorescence Resonance Energy Transfer, RNA folding, RNA protein interactions, RNA catalysis, Nucleic acids as programmable building blocks for nanostructures and nanodevices.

Resources
Home-built single molecule microscope capable of monitoring surface immobilized and fluorophore labeled biopolymers. Time correlated single photon counting with picosecond time resolution for fluorescence lifetime measurements.

Collaboration Interests:
Apply our imaging techniques to visualize and characterize structures and devices with useful applications in nanoscience and nanotechnology, as well as, biopolymers that perform important functions in living cells.
