Area of Interest
Molecule-based precursors for information storage based on redox activity of ligands and metals. Incorporation of metals in liquid crystals for optical properties and information display. Incorporation of metals in surfactants for monolayer deposition
Resources
Laboratory: Synthesis oriented lab- and glassware, Schlenk (air-free) glassware, and double-length glove box with a -35 oC freezer, solvent purification system, UV-visible and IR spectrophotometers, and electrochemical analyzers. Computational facilities: six Pentium 4 PC desktop computers for word and graphics processing, Internet- and literature search and control of instrumentation (UV-visible, electrochemistry). All computers are interconnected, and have direct access to printers and a scanner.
