The Corporate and Foundation Relations staff in the Development and Alumni Affairs Division circulates monthly a list of grant opportunities for faculty. By making this information available, we encourage you to consider seeking corporate and foundation grant support.

Sample grants include the following:

  • William T. Grant Foundation

Supports research to build, test, and increase understanding of approaches to reducing inequality in youth outcomes, particularly on the basis of race, ethnicity, economic standing, or immigrant origin status. Interested in research on programs, policies, and practices to reduce inequality in academic, social, behavioral, and economic outcomes. Typical grant range is $100,000- $600,000. LOI due by 5/2/18.

  • Comerica Charitable Foundation

Supports programs focused on education for low-and moderate-income (LMI) individuals and families; economic/community development support for programs that promote and enhance opportunities for LMI families and communities; and human services programs that enhance and protect the health and well-being of LMI individuals and families. Grants average $5,000-$50,000. Applications due by 3/15/18. Please coordinate with Corporate Relations.

  • Wenner-Gren Foundation

The foundation's overall mission to support basic research in anthropology and to ensure that the discipline continues to be a source of vibrant and significant work that furthers our understanding of humanity's cultural and biological origins, development, and variation. The foundation supports research that demonstrates a clear link to anthropological theory and debates, and promises to make a solid contribution to advancing these ideas. Grants up to $20,000. Online and hardcopy application due by 5/1/18.
