Angela Tiura, Ph.D.

Dr. Tiura is a social health psychologist whose research examines risk and protective factors regarding HIV, sexual risk-taking, addictive behaviors, and sexual violence among young adults. She is involved with a WSU DOTS project examining physical activity effects on cognition, food choice, and metabolism in African American adolescents with obesity. She is now the PI of a project examining behavioral economic factors related to alcohol use and loss-of-control eating among college student survivors of sexual assault and dating violence, and developing a mobile health intervention to decrease risky alcohol consumption and overeating.
