AIC Office Moves, Updates New Policies

During the first week in October the AIC Office will move from the Lande Medical Research Building into its new location at 101 E. Alexandrine on the NW corner of John R and E. Alexandrine. Check the AIC website for up-to-date information on the exact moving dates.

AIC telephone and fax numbers will remain the same; however, there may be a short period of time when the office is without phone service. We anticipate that the logistics of the move may take a day or two, and our goal is to minimize the disruption to investigators and their staff, but the review and approval of protocols and amendments may be delayed during that time.

The AIC is very excited to be able to relocate to this new location. The Animal Investigation Committee and Human Investigation Committee Offices will occupy the entire first floor of 101 E. Alexandrine. Committee meetings for both the AIC and the HIC will now be held in this new location.

The Committee has recently approved three new policies:

· Euthanasia of Mouse and Rat Fetuses and Neonates (approved 5/9/05)
· Population Density for Mice (approved 4/27/05)
· Rodent Toe Clipping and Tail Biopsy (approved 5/9/05)

Current forms can always be found on the website, along with submission deadlines for AIC meetings. Before you begin completing a Protocol Application for a new project, ensure you have the latest version by checking the website.
