The Sponsored Program Administration Office (SPA) will be distributing the Pay Certification reports for the period of October 2004 through March 2005 at two upcoming meetings for departmental and college administrators. These meetings are being held to discuss these reports and to answer any questions regarding completion of the forms. In addition, reports from previous periods that have not been returned to SPA will be distributed for completion. These meetings will be held as follows:

November 16th, 2005, 3 to 4 p.m., room 6202 - 5057 Woodward (for main campus administrators)

December 5, 2005, 2 to 3 p.m., Green Auditorium - Scott Hall (for med campus administrators)

It is critical that 100% of these forms be completed. Effort reporting and pay certification is the number one area that other universities have been found to be non-compliant by federal and external auditors. These institutions have faced fines of million dollars-plus for lack of compliance in this critical area.

Completed reports are due to SPA, room 6402 by January 15, 2006. Due to the critical need for these reports, those individuals who do not submit their pay certification reports will have future proposal submissions restricted until the report is completed and received.
