Hot Topics in Molecular Medicine
Cutting edge scientifi c research has led to exponential leaps in our understanding of the human body and how it works and fails to work in disease. Translating this understanding into new and effective treatments for human disease is a central driving force in a research effort that has to overcome scientifi c, technological and ethical obstacles. “Hot Topics in Molecular Medicine” is a monthly forum dedicated to exploring these issues in today’s “molecular medicine.” It is presented by outstanding members of the Center for Molecular Medicine and Genetics (CMMG) at Wayne State University School of Medicine in Detroit, MI and open to the community to learn about and discuss the latest, most exciting, as well as controversial issues in molecular medicine today. Each of the monthly lectures will be followed by a catered reception where participants can continue discussions one-on-one with the speaker and other members of the Center.
