OVPR, in consultation with DLAR, has decided to roll back the per diem rates for animal care to 2006 rates for the 2007 fiscal year, so as to try to ease the burden on investigators.

The keynote speaker for the event will be Dr. Thomas Carew, professor of Neurobiology and Behavior in the School of Biological Sciences and the Donald Bren Professor and Chair in the Center for Neurobiology of Learning and Memory at the University of California, Irvine. Dr. Carew’s research focuses on the cellular, molecular and network mechanisms of short- and long-term memory formation.
