Nano@Wayne Seminar - January 15
The next Nano@Wayne seminar is Tuesday, January 15, 2008 at 2:30 p.m. in the Welcome Center Auditorium locatd at the corner of Warren and Woodward. This seminar is free to all WSU faculty and students.
The guest speaker on January 15 is Dr. James W. Schneider, associate professor of Chemical Engineering, Carnegie Mellon University. Dr. Schneider’s research interests center on the development of novel materials for bioseparations and biosensing. Efforts in his research group include synthesis of surfactant-like materials for highly sensitive purification of DNA in microchip systems, evaluating surface-diffusion methods for capture of trace analytes, and the use of atomic-force microscopy to characterize colloidal systems germane to bioseparations.
Dr. Schneider’s talk is titled, “Genomic and Gene Expression Analysis Using Self-Assembled Amphiphilic Materials.”
A reception will follow the seminar.
