The Education Department invites applications to implement quality professional development model programs for arts educators or other instructional staff in K-12 high-poverty schools. They will fund only programs that use innovative instructional models and current knowledge from education research, and focus on: development, enhancement or expansion of standards-based arts education programs; or integration of such instruction with other core academic area content.  Art areas are: music, dance, drama, media arts or visual arts, including folk arts.
