LIMITED SUBMISSION Grant Opportunity - Ethics Education in Science & Engineering
NSF invites proposals for research and education projects to improve ethics education in all of the fields of science and engineering that NSF supports, including interdisciplinary and inter-institutional activities.
Deadline: April 3, 2008
Funds: $2.4 million for 6 to 12 awards for 36 months.
This is a limited submssion grant opportunity, and only one grant per institution can be submitted. To be considered, please submit a one page summary of the proposal and the PI’s abbreviated CV to Julie O’Connor at ag2712@wayne.edu by March 3, 2008. The faculty selected to submit a proposal will be notified by March 7, 2008.
Proposals must focus on improving ethics education for graduate students, developing summer post-baccalaureate ethics education activities, or activities that transition students to graduate education. NSF is particularly interested in proposals addressing issues involving international or global context, and those addressing issues of intellectual property, including scientific publishing.
