WSU, U of M, MSU and EMU to receive up to $1.25 million in research equipment from Pfizer

Pfizer recently announced that they will be donating up to $1.25 million worth of research equipment, glassware and other lab supplies to four Michigan universities - WSU, U of M, MSU and EMU.  Notification of what will be donated or when the donation will be made has not yet been announced .

Once WSU receives the donation and inventories what is received, a fair distribution process will be set-up to try to match requests faculty have made.  Announcements will be made on how this process will occur once the donation is received.

“This is a great opportunity that Pfizer has made available to the URC institutions and EMU,” commented Dr. Hilary Ratner, vice president for Research at WSU. “We are grateful for this donation that will assist our faculty in their important research efforts. We will miss Pfizer as a local colleague, but look forward to continuing a productive relationship with them,” Ratner added.
