Career Development Grants in Occupational Safety and Health Research (K01)

The National Institute for Occupational Safety and Health (NIOSH), Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) invite grant applications for research career development related to occupational safety and health. The goal of the NIOSH research program is to support research that is relevant and of high quality, and will have an impact in reducing occupational disease and injury. This program is intended to contribute to this goal by facilitating the preparation of the next generation of occupational safety and health researchers.

Emphasis for funding is placed on projects that specifically address the priority goals of the NIOSH National Occupational Research Agenda (NORA). This industrial sector-based agenda has been developed to focus resources on priority problems that significantly impact the illness and injury burden on U.S. workers. Research training supported by this announcement may include a wide range of training modalities reflecting the diverse approaches needed to effectively address occupational safety and health problems.

Deadline(s): June 12, 2008 and October 12, 2008

Funds: The K01 is limited to three years and to $100,000 per year in direct costs.
