The DLAR Training Program works together with the Institutional Animal Care and Use Committee (IACUC) to support researchers in the area of training and education as it applies to their IACUC approved protocol. DLAR can assist research personnel in meeting the regulatory compliance standards with the use of a Multisensory approach. These approaches may involve, but are not limited to...
- Protocol based, one-on-one training (species, aseptic technique, surgical technique)
- Facility Orientations
- On-line learning modules
- Alternative animal models
- Journal articles
- Lunch and Learns
- Lab visits
- Vendor speakers
- Consults and more.
- DLAR Training Program is on Blackboard https://blackboard.wayne.edu/wsuauth/?logged_out=1. Blackboard is an excellent training and communication aid for new or seasoned research staff. Individuals are given access to Blackboard if they are on approved protocols, or when a personnel amendment is submitted to the IACUC Office. Blackboard requires individuals to log in using their WSU access ID and password, as you would for Academica.
Training sessions are held at the location below (by appointment) unless otherwise indicated.
