Wayne State University is home to six federally funded research centers including one of 72 National Cancer Institute-designated comprehensive cancer centers - the Karmanos Cancer Institute. These centers provide a multidisciplinary approach to research that brings researchers together to build collaboration and innovation, generate new discoveries and make a positive change in the city of Detroit and beyond.
