About

What is Urban One Health? The Centers for Disease Control and Prevention (CDC) defines "One Health" as a "collaborative, multisectoral, and transdisciplinary approach working at the local, regional, national and global levels with the goal of achieving optimal health outcomes recognizing the interconnection between people, animals, plants and their shared environment."  Detroit and other post-industrial cities across the world face unprecedented challenges related to local, regional and global environmental pressures. "One Health" urban environmental solutions are now required if we are ever to discover the roads that lead to environmental health and ecosystem resilience for all of us.
