DOE Announces Funding for Genomics-Enabled Understanding and Advancing Knowledge on Plant Gene Function(s)
The Department of Energy (DOE) Office of Science (SC) Biological and Environmental Research Program (BER) has announced a new funding opportunity through the Biological Systems Science Division’s (BSSD) Genomic Science Program (GSP), soliciting applications for "Genomics-Enabled Understanding and Advancing Knowledge on Plant Gene Function(s)." The funding opportunity will fund proposals that showcase innovative research methods to develop bioenergy crops through a several approaches outlined by DOE. All domestic institutions are eligible to apply. Total available funding is anticipated to be $25 million, with DOE awarding 8-12 proposals for funding ranging between $750,000 – $3,000,000.
