Voluntary Respirator Use
Some employees may desire to wear respirators during certain operations that do not require the use of respiratory protection. Any Employee who voluntarily uses a respirator must first complete the designated Respirator Use Request Form to begin the approval process. OEHS will review each request on a case-by-case basis. If the use of respiratory protection in a specific case will not jeopardize the health or safety of the employee, OEHS will recommend respirators for voluntary use and provide proper training.
